Reservation confirmation

  • Reservations made on our website are subject to confirmation. This confirmation is sent to the email address provided by the customer at the time of the request.
  • The car models shown on our website are intended to serve as examples and may be exchanged for others with similar characteristics. We never guarantee a brand, colour, model or type of fuel.
  • It is possible to return the car outside office hours, subject to prior authorization. The renter is responsible for the vehicle at all times, even when it is returned outside these hours.
  • Cars cannot be taken out of the island for any reason.
  • No refunds are made once rental has started.
  • Maximum rental duration by booking 30 days.

Driver age

  • Drivers must be at least 19 years old and have held a driving licence for at least one year.
  • Drivers under the age of 25 are charged a young driver fee of 7€ per day with a minimum of 25€ per rental.

The price includes:

  • Unlimited mileage (UM)
  • VAT
  • Quick pick up service at the airport
  • Quick collection service at the airport
  • Full insurance (SCDW): Covering damage to the bodywork, wheels, glass, mirrors, underside of the car, running boards. 
  • Additional driver free
  • Hassle free

Under no circumstances the below is included:

  • Reckless driving or driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs
  • Traffic Fines
  • Damages inside the car are not covered by any insurance
  • The car's lack as, trays, triangles or other accesories.
  • The wrong refuelling and the wet or lost keys. 
  • In case of the electric vehicles: Any insurance covers road asistace in case that the electic vehicle has low batery. It doesen't includes theft, loss, and breakage of the charging cable. 
  • In case of convertible cars (Cabrio): Any insurance covers damage on the roof or rear window. The customer is responsible for the total cost of the repair.

Method of payment

  • Payment is by credit or debit card. Only VISA and MASTERCARD are accepted.

Cancellations: Reservations initially paid in full

  • You can cancel your reservation with a minimum of 3 hours before the pick-up date and time. The total amount paid will be refunded.
  • Failure to remove the vehicle on the agreed date and time, and / or cannot provide us with the necessary documentation, and / or do not have a credit card with sufficient funds, we reserve the right not to deliver the vehicle. If that is the case: We pledge to return the amount paid minus the cost equivalent to 2-day rental

No Show

It is considered "no show" when:

  • You cancel the reservation but not inform us at least 3 hours before the start date of hire.
  • You don’t remove the vehicle on the agreed date and time
  • You cannot provide the necessary documentation to remove the vehicle
  • You don’t have a credit card with sufficient funds.

In these cases, the equivalent of 2 days rental cost will be charged.

We reserve the right not to deliver the vehicle to a customer if it does not reach the time set on your reservation, despite possessing all the necessary documentation and a credit card with sufficient funds to leave the security deposit. In such case, unless the booking has been cancelled previously customer you will be charged the equivalent of 2 days rental cost.

Modify reservation

You can modify your reservation contacting us by telephone or email. If you want to change any aspect that may affect the rental price (for example, the place of collection / return, the type of vehicle or the length of rental), you will be charged according to the published price, which may be different from that initially paid.

Our prices are based taking into account the date and time of pickup and return established in the reservation. If you return the vehicle before or removed later than the scheduled time, we will not make any refund for the portion of the unused hours.

Delivery (pick-up)

  • Staff from Autos Menorca will be waiting for the customer in the Meeting point in the airport's public parking in front of the arrivals terminal (passing the ticket machine) where they will deliver the car.
  • Autos Menorca staff will have the rental agreement ready and customer will only have to sign. We will also provide the customer with the parking ticket and key of the car. Parking cost will be covered by Autos Menorca, customers have 20 minutes to leave the car park
  • Hours for the Menorca Airport service are 7.00 a.m.-10.00 p.m. Car pick-ups and drop offs after 10.00 p.m.are considered outside office hours and a €35 fee will be charged for this service.

Return (drop-off)

  • The customer just has to return the car in the same car park where they picked up it (P1 arrivals car park).  The staff from Autos Menorca will be waiting for them to collect the car. As customers have to bring back the car full they will just have to give us the key & go.
  • The vehicle must be returned to the same office where it was picked up by the time agreed upon in the contract.
  • We allow a grace period of 59 minutes starting at the pickup hour in the rental agreement. After this time, you will be charged for an extra day.
  • Vehicles may be returned to a different office from where they were picked up for a € 50 surcharge. 
  • No refunds are made once rental has started.

Fuel Policy 

  • Our prices do not include fuel.
  • The cars are delivered FULL of fuel. Only the missing fuel will be charged in case that the vehicle is not returned as the same level as it was delivered.
  • Please note that due to logistical reasons, fuel prices can be higher that of the petrol station.

Electric vehilces

  • The vehicles have to be returned as same level of charge that they were delivered. If the vehicle is returned unless this level, we will charge the difference. 
  • The full batery charged will cost between 9€ and 19€ , depending of the capacity of the vehicle's batery

Vehicle geolocation

The car can be geolocated in real time by Owners Cars at any moment. At the moment of signing the terms and conditions of the rental agreement, the customer accepts to be informed and agree to that geolocation.

Extra Services

  • Baby seat, booster seat: € 7 each/day, maximum of € 50/rental.
  • Outside office hours’ charge: € 35.00 (VAT included), just to the airport from 10:00 p.m.
  • Drop Off (one way) €50.00 (VAT included)
  • Delivery service to hotels and harbours: € 35 (pick-up and return)
  • Young Driver: 7€ per day with a minimum of 25.00€/rental (under 25, over 19)
  • Traffic Fine Management: €25. This fee will be charged if you receive a traffic ticket during your rental, such as speeding or parking tickets. Please note that this fee does not pay the fine 
  • If you book the Premium rate with Keyless pick up, you should pay the ticket to leave the car park at the airport (At the moment of confirming the booking online it deducts 3€ from the rental amount for that concept)

  • The courtesy bus schedule is 07: 00h to 22: 00h (For drop off from May to October 6.00h to 22.00h). We do deliveries and drop offs out of time, after 10pm, applying a charge of € 35.00 for this service.

Return (drop-off)

To return the car, customers will only have to park the car outside our offices where they will pick up the Shuttle service to the airport.

  • The vehicle must be returned to the same office where it was picked up by the time agreed upon in the contract.

  • Groups D-DA-DE-E-EA-EE = 975,00 VAT INCLUDED (by car)
  • Groups F-FA-G-H-HA-JA-KA-LA-R-RA = 1268,00 VAT INCLUDED (by car)
  • Groups Z-ZE-ZA = 1550,00 VAT INCLUDED (by car)

Optional Insurances

  • If you want to enjoy a worry-free stay on Menorca, we recommend full coverage (SCDW). For just 18.15 a day, this includes wheels, glass, mirrors, underside of the car, running boards, and clutch damage. In the case of vehicles with 9 seats the insurance will be 25 euros a day. 
  • You can reduce your liability to “0” excess by taking SCDW insurance. Customers who do not take any insurance are required to leave a deposit by credit card (only Visa and Mastercard accepted) for the total amount of the excess.
  • In case of not purchasing our full insurance without excess, damages caused for environmental disaster such as hail storms or other atmospheric phenomenon are not covered and any damage caused will be deducted from the franchise amount.

Transfers

Transfers

  1. RESERVATION:
  2. The reservation can be made at any time up to 24 hours before the service through the website www.autosmenorca.com in the transfers section.

    The minimum data required are:

    • Type of service: arrival or departure.
    • Flight arrival time, flight number, customer name (sufficient with the name that makes the reservation) and destination.
    • In the case of departure, we will need pick up time (hotel pick up, not flight time), flight number, hotel of origin and name of the reservation.

    Is necessary to be 5 / 10 minutes before the time at the collection point.

  3. CONFIRMATION
  4. You will receive the confirmation of your booking by email to the address provided on the website. With the confirmation you will receive the T&C’s of the service.

  5. MEETING POINT
  6. In the case of arrivals, the customer will be greeted with a sign with their reservation name. The buses will be parked in the arrivals area just outside the terminal.

    On the other hand, at departures, the drivers will wait outside the hotel in the areas set up for it and at the time previously agreed upon in the reservations.

  7. CANCELLATIONS
  8. Cancellation will be free of change before 36 hours of the pickup date and time. The total amount of the booking will be refunded.

  9. CHILDREN
  10. It is possible to hire baby seats or booster seats at the time of making your reservation on the website. The cost of the service will increase by €7 VAT included for each unit and for each journey.
